As a mum of two, I understand how incredibly important it is for you to feel like your child is getting the absolute best help they deserve. The school system itself is confusing, with everything measured according to “norms” that someone, from somewhere, 100 years ago, decided would be the norm. And let’s be honest, we all know how challenging the jobs of teachers are, but it just feels like year after year, that teacher that is taking your child’s class, just isn’t quite understanding the things that make you child tick. They don’t quite connect, they don’t quite show the steps in a way that makes sense, they don’t quite understand that your child might jiggle around in their seat to help them concentrate.
And let’s not get into all of the additional things. Who do you see for this? When you go and see that specialist, they too, just are looking at a tick sheet and are not truly listening to you.
I truly understand. From all sides. I have been in the classroom, I have been outside the classroom, I have read the reports and had the conversations with specialist, teachers, and parents, like you.
And I continually try to change and make that change with my tutoring centre, and my focus to ensure that we can make small micro changes to your child’s schooling experience, that can change their lives. Again, both inside the classroom, through mentoring teachers, and new teachers coming through the door, and outside, with you, and my tutors.
As a mum, and a women who has continually sought out the things that make a true difference in education, let me help you, help your child.
